Peru
Food Bank

According to a 2021 FAO study, 51 percent of the population of Peru is living in moderate food insecurity, without regular access to enough safe and nutritious food. At the same time, 9 million tons of food are wasted per year.

Peru Food bank helps citizens reach a greater level of food security while reducing anemia and malnutrition rates. They operate since 2014, having served 164,509 people. This fight against food waste and hunger in Peru and also encourages the spirit of solidarity and care for the environment, as every ton of food saved prevents CO2e emissions from being released into the atmosphere.
